About The Author
Kurt Busiek broke in as a comics writer in 1982, with stories in Green Lantern #162 and Power Man & Iron Fist #90, both out the same day. Since then, he's worked on just about everything from Action Comics to Zot!, including runs on Avengers, Iron Man, Superman, Conan, and others, along with co-creating Thunderbolts, The Power Company and more. Best known for his work on the multiple-award-winning Marvels and ASTRO CITY, he's been turning more and more to creator-owned work of late, including such projects as ARROWSMITH, Superstar, Shockrockets and THE WIZARD'S TALE, and is currently working on more ASTRO CITY along with his new series THE AUTUMNLANDS, drawn by Benjamin Dewey.

Carlos Pacheco Perujo was a Spanish comics penciller. After breaking into the European market doing cover work for Planeta De Agostini, he gained recognition doing work for Marvel UK, the England-based branch of Marvel Comics, for his work on the Spider-Man magazine Dark Guard. He then began doing work for the American-based Marvel and DC Comics, where he was one of the first Spanish-born artists to make a major impact in that country, attaining popularity for his work on Avengers Forever, JLA/JSA: Virtue and Vice, X-Men: Legacy, Fantastic Four, Green Lantern, and Captain America. He contributed to some high-profile storylines published by the Big Two, including 2009's Final Crisis at DC and 2013's Age of Ultron at Marvel.

Outside of corporate-owned comics, he reunited with his Avengers Forever collaborator, writer Kurt Busiek, to produce through WildStorm the 2003 creator-owned fantasy series Arrowsmith, which reimagines World War I in a world in which magic and dragons exist. That series garnered positive reviews, and an Eisner Award nomination for Best Limited Series. In 2022, Pacheco and Busiek produced a sequel, Arrowsmith: Behind Enemy Lines, which was also positively received, and was one of Pacheco's last published works.

Rafael Fonteriz began working in advertising. He started making short comics in his spare time, just for his own pleasure. He had his first professional work published in the juvenile magazine Camacuc. He then did an erotic album called 'El Legado', and the series X-Women for Kiss. He teamed up with Jesús Yugo and began Efecto Dominó in El Víbora. He became one of the most recent illustrators of El Capitan Trueno, and took on the Avatar trilogy with writer Juan Miguel Aguilera.

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free shipping on all orders over $75.

As a small, growing shop, we partner with trusted distributors to ship books directly to you. This allows us to offer a much wider selection while we build toward our first physical space.

We also use tiered shipping, which means the more you add to your cart, the lower the shipping cost per book becomes. So that means, even if you’re not quite at $75 yet, it often makes sense to grab one more volume and save overall.

Why shop with you instead of big retailers?

Every order supports a small, Latina-owned manga shop built by real fans who care deeply about the stories, the art, and the culture around it.

We curate with intention, not algorithms, and we’re building something bigger than a storefront: a space for collectors, readers, and fans to connect.

What is your return policy?

Because of how we currently fulfill orders, we’re not able to accept general returns at this time.

The only exception is if your order arrives damaged or incorrect. If you experience either, please reach out to us at casitademanga@gmail.com
and we’ll be more than happy to personally help you with a damage/error return.

Can I cancel or change my order?

We move quickly to get your order on its way.

If you need to make a change, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to catch it before it ships. Once it’s on the way, we’re unable to modify the order.
