As one ride ends...

Yusuke Ogino is living the dream, with a beautiful girlfriend who loves him to death and an Italian bike that's almost paid off--but what does the future hold? And what happens when the past comes back to haunt him? On the cusp of adulthood, Ogino must grapple with the Big Questions, and there's no guarantee he's going to win.

Bringing his manic mix of absurd comedy and painful honesty to bear on the existential quandaries we all face at some point in our lives, Minoru Furuya concludes his coming-of-age masterpiece true to form, with all the messiness of real life. Even if we end up where we begin, at least it'll be a wild ride getting there--and maybe that's all that really matters.

About The Author
Award-winning manga artist Minoru Furuya made his debut with the acclaimed gag manga Ping-Pong Club in 1993. Since then, his comics have become ever more character-focused, emotionally intricate, and thematically dark--an about-face so extreme that fans worried he had suffered a mental breakdown. His more recent series are an extension of his early work, however, his detailed and lifelike art still informed by humor and caricature. Furuya is a poet of discomfort and a champion of outsiders, misfits, losers, and loners, his comics depicting the awkward struggles and crushing banality of everyday life in excruciating detail.

Ping-Pong Club spawned a popular anime, and two of his subsequent series have been adapted into feature films. Ciguatera will be his English-language manga debut.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free shipping on all orders over $75.

As a small, growing shop, we partner with trusted distributors to ship books directly to you. This allows us to offer a much wider selection while we build toward our first physical space.

We also use tiered shipping, which means the more you add to your cart, the lower the shipping cost per book becomes. So that means, even if you’re not quite at $75 yet, it often makes sense to grab one more volume and save overall.

Why shop with you instead of big retailers?

Every order supports a small, Latina-owned manga shop built by real fans who care deeply about the stories, the art, and the culture around it.

We curate with intention, not algorithms, and we’re building something bigger than a storefront: a space for collectors, readers, and fans to connect.

What is your return policy?

Because of how we currently fulfill orders, we’re not able to accept general returns at this time.

The only exception is if your order arrives damaged or incorrect. If you experience either, please reach out to us at casitademanga@gmail.com
and we’ll be more than happy to personally help you with a damage/error return.

Can I cancel or change my order?

We move quickly to get your order on its way.

If you need to make a change, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to catch it before it ships. Once it’s on the way, we’re unable to modify the order.
